God's Court

Dramatic.
Duration
  20min
Actors

Summary
God’s Court is a Halloween play or a fall festival play.  The plot and characters in God’s Court were suggested by the young teens I had Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. So they represent what sins they were most aware of and concerned with. I wrote the story and we refined it together. The shadow figure was played by the smallest child at their suggestion. The character has no lines.  Costumes are optional for everyone but the shadow figure. Her costume was a dark drape with eyes cut out. She was both spooky and added comic relief.
Script

(NOTE: The whole play is written so the players can have the script with them. They each carried folders like lawyers do in court. The Reporter had a clip board.  The…

Summary
In this entertaining drama script for St Valentine’s Day we meet Cara, who has convinced herself that the only way to find that right person for her is send out carefully selected Valentine’s cards to all the boys who might be interested in her, then wait for their responses and analyse them according to businesslike criteria. Will it work? Izzy is far from convinced and tries to tell her gently what love really looks like. Meanwhile Naomi is excitedly bouncing around the place because she has received one card from someone special. She’s excited. Very excited. Did we mention she’s excited?
