A group of football players get hyped up in their huddle, but they don't actually play the game. (An Illustration that being a Christian isn't just about Sunday.)
Quarterback
Other team members (to suit)
(A group of football players walk into a huddle, hunch over, and the Quarterback begins mapping out the next play…)
QB
All right, guys, let's get set. Are you ready?
TEAM
Yeah!
QB
Are you ready to go out there and play some football?
TEAM
Yeah! (other cheers)
QB
All right! We're gonna go out there, and we're gonna play tough!
VARIOUS TEAMMATES:
Smash em! Let me at em! Yeah, let's do it! (whatever)
QB
Cause we're the baddest team out here! We're gonna smash their faces in the
dirt, and stomp em with our feet!
VARIOUS TEAMMATES
Yeah, they're dead meat!
QB
They can't stop us! We've got the best line.
"THE LINE"
Yeah, try and stop us!
QB
We've got the best running backs and receivers!
RUNNING BACK/RECEIVER
You know it!/ We're too quick for em!
QB
And YOU KNOW we got the best Quarterback!
TEAM
You da man! They can't handle it!
QB
Now, we're gonna go out there, and we're gonna show em what we got!
TEAM
Yeah!
QB
We're gonna hit em with the I formation first. We're gonna run the ball all
up and down this field!
RUNNING BACK
Oh yeah, run it up the gut!
QB
Then we're gonna throw long bombs down field, pass all we want. They won't know
what hit em!
RECEIVER/LINE
Score, baby, score all day!
QB
Then, heck, I'll even run a couple in myself!
TEAM
Yeah! We're gonna kill em! We're gonna destroy the other team.
QB
Are you ready?!
TEAM
Yeah!
QB
I said, 'Are you READY?!'
TEAM (louder)
YEAH!!!
QB
All right, "WIN" on three.
QB puts his hand out, and the whole team puts their hands in the middle on top of one another.
QB
One, two, three-
QB/TEAM
WIN!
They break the huddle. Everyone stands up straight and stops. They look around at each other for a second, everyone still.
RUNNING BACK
Well, that was fun.
QB
Yeah, good job.
RECEIVER
All right, where we goin for lunch?
RUNNING BACK
Let's try that new pizza place?
QB
All right, let's go.
Everyone leaves, slapping each other high fives and patting each other on the back and saying "good game," etc.
