Hurting
They’re hurting all around us,
Like a million broken dreams.
The young and old, the poor and wealthy,
Though sometimes it seems.
That others have the world complete,
And only do we wonder,
Those others often aren’t so sure,
And hear the threatening thunder.
They’re hurting all around us,
They’re hurting everyday.
Let’s find a way to ease their pain,
And help along the way.
They’re hurting all around us,
For life can cause such pain.
Though giving time and all their strength,
They never seem to gain.
So few succeed that most go on,
To live a life of shame.
Questioning each day they live
If life is worth the game.
They’re hurting all around us,
They’re hurting everyday.
Let’s find a way to ease their pain,
And help along the way.
They’re hurting all around us,
Oh, don’t ignore their grief.
Our time on earth’s so very quick,
We need to give relief.
God gave to us, so let us share,
About our Lord’s great love.
Giving to the ones in pain,
The answer from above.
