One may often wonder why,
why do people live and die?
In eternity, our lives don't scratch the surface
tell me Lord, what is the purpose?
Is all our toiling done in vain
things built strong will never last
Think of all the people past
there must be some reward for pain

But here today and then dismissed
			work and pleasure, man's desires
all of it will burn in fire
			everything is meaningless
			whatever we acquire

For the same fate awaits us all
none too big, we're all too small
			everyone will one day fall
			on their knees
			before the Lord at judgment

It matters not what you have done
			We all leave empty handed
from this world beneath the sun
consider what the Lord has done
			without the Son, we're stranded

Eternity is in the hearts of men
yet we cannot fathom what God has done
from the beginning until the very end
			Whatever is, has already been
and what will be, will be again.

So enjoy your youth and remember the Creator
			whose mysteries we cannot understand
Enjoy your own work, toil, and labor
for the conclusion of the matter
Is to fear the Lord and heed His commands
that when your spirit returns to God who gave it
you will not be a stranger

			for God's Glory
